Character Analysis - Curley in Of Mice and Men
In John Steinbecks clear novel, Of Mice and Men, Curleys wife is seen as a cheap possession, a gyp that be spaciouss to Curley. A possession that he gets to keep in line. His lack of love, respect and watchfulness results to her death in the end. By all the men shes seen as a tramp, they speak come out that shes out causation trouble. solely the truth is shes direly lonely. She moreover wants soulfulness to talk to. Shes confused out on a wonderful spirit that could sustain been hers, and that hurts her.\nCurleys wife is a beautiful woman, whose blossoming with love, with bad hopes for the future. She dreams of becoming a grown actress n Hollywood. She wants to become well-fixed and famous, and have nice clothes. She wants to discharge something from her life. Be pee-pee of her beauty she was promised great things. But in reality her dreams neer came true, the letters she awaited never came, the promises that were made to her were never fulfilled. Couldve been in th e movies, an had nice clothes. She refused to verification where she would be a nobody. Well, I wasnt gonna stay no set where I couldnt get nowhere or make something of my life. So one iniquity she meat Curley at the riverbank Dance Palace, and she married him, he became her ticket out from her desperate life. She never married him out of love and passion just of desperation. I dont equivalent Curley. He aint a nice fella.\nCurleys relationship with his wife is genuinely distant. He treats her with no respect, his truly possessive of her, he tries to control who she talks to and what she goat and cant do. His also disloyal. entirely after weeks of their marriage his already going to cat houses. His treachery her left right and center. And like any person she require to be loved, she necessarily to be cared for, she needs attention and she needs companionship.
